On June 9, 2014, 200 women of different organizations responded to an urgent appeal from 9 prominent women marched through Ginza, Tokyo, despite the pouring rain, to oppose the government’s attempt to enable Japan to use the right to collective self-defense.  The parade, with various media covering it, drew a lot of attention.
